An 'Introduction' to Bethany Farms

I was thinking about what this next Blog Post should be about, and I realized that we've never gone into detail about 'what' Bethany Farms is, that is, what the Lord has shown us so far...

Why 'Bethany'?

'Bethany' (in the Bible) was a place that Jesus would retreat to, a place of refuge, where he would spend time with others. It is a place where Jesus was anointed with oil, before his death and resurrection, a town that translates into 'house of the afflicted', or 'house of the poor'...

God has continued to show me that Bethany Farms is (and is becoming) a place of gathering, a location that welcomes those who need rest. A place that offers the love of Jesus, where we can break bread together, where we can worship together, where the singular focus IS JESUS!

Logo - Olive Branch

The Olive Branch in the Logo is not only in relation to the anointing oil of the Holy Spirit, but the crushing and pressing that happens when we are being made into new creatures!

Through that breaking and pressing, in the refining, he is stripping away what is no longer needed, what needs to be tossed out. God uses the oil that is produced, to bless others through our obedience and submission to HIM.

Logo - Matthew 25:40

Matthew 25:40 (NIV) states: 'The king will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me'.'

Through prayer, through feeding and clothing, through simple interactions on a daily basis, whatever we do to, or for others, we do for Jesus!

So What is Bethany Farms Purpose?

Bethany Farms sole purpose, our singular focus is to be the hands and feet of Jesus, with everyone we interact with, and for all those that eventually come here.

We are NOT focused on profit. To focus on profit over individuals, is to put ourselves before what he has called this place to be, this is HIS...

I do know that people will eventually come here...that prayer will be held, that we will worship with strangers, that healings will happen, that individuals will say 'yes' to Jesus, and that JESUS will be glorified in all of this.

How the Honey Bees, all the Fruit Trees, Lavender plants and Garden come into play with his vision, we do not know yet, but we will continue to take each step that he asks us to take!

That is us...that is Bethany Farms!
